Premiere: Dec Duffy – G&T [MOXY MUZIK]

Dec Duffy is next up on the definitive Moxy Muzik label with a fresh four tracker packed with authentic house grooves.

Duffy is a 21 year old artist from Cheshire who is heavily inspired by UKG and 90s house. Moxy label head Darius Syrossian was one of the first to spot Dec when he was only 19 and playing his tracks at Printworks back in 2021. When he sent Darius some new cuts, “they were so good I couldn’t just sign, or two, or even three, I had to sign four for his first EP.”

His raw, timeless sound has won him plenty of high profile praise from tastemakers like Micheal Bibi, Patrick Topping, Mason Collective, East End Dubs and many more and this new package is likely to do the same again.

G&T kicks off with low sling garage vibes that are dark and playful for late night sessions. The bass is killer and cannot fail to make a huge impact. Bebbington Rd then brings a perfectly treated vocal to a naughty and fat bassline that burrows deep beneath the edgy drums. It’s a fresh and irresistible new school sound. The invention continues on Bout now, a quick and shuffling house cut with deep vibes and playful vocals that bring a different atmosphere to the club. Viper is a punchy and original rhythmic work out with tight kick drums and wonky synths sure to blow up the club.
