Premiere: Boss Priester – A Solution [Tafelberg Records]

The prolific Tafelberg Records continue to keep their flame burning strong in 2023, starting the engine with a dynamite various artist release featuring Boss Priester, Ben Diggins, Guessbeats, William Köster, Moor and Mitta Malone. The six track digital release spans across animated dance floor energy, crammed with refined flavours of house, breaks and everything in between.

Dusty broken drums lead the way in Ben Diggins “Science Test” before you are met with an irresistible elasticated groove, a peak time dance floor charmer. Guessbeats presents a deep yet danceable quest in “Spooky Town”, set to be a hit with the tastemakers amongst us, classy sounds from the flourishing producer. Kicking up a seriously strong vibe from the get go is Boss Priester’s “A Solution”, a sidewinding sub heavy bass line continues to loop as dreamy pads continue to melt in and out. Playful breaks samples flash in and out giving a sense of nostalgia.

MOOR’s “Red Apple” transcends you to a dream world, glistening synths glowing with warmth around a meticulously crafted beat. Leaning into more stripped back territory is William Köster with “Where I Am”, glitchy eccentric textures breathe life into a minimal structure. Mitta Malone rounds off this versatile body of work with animated garage energy in, “Shutdown After Scandal”, playful as it moves through the paces.

Tafelberg showing their cards with the first digital release, and look to release their second vinyl EP which is on the horizon next month, alongside this the label will also be looking to run some events within their base city, Amsterdam.
