Premiere: Danny Snowden – Rude Boi [Seven Dials Records]
Seb Zito welcomes the fast rising talent of Danny Snowden to Seven Dials with a strong two track garage and minimal infused sounds with his ‘Cut It Back EP’
Danny was brought up around such a vast variety of music which you can hear in his productions, with each release shining a slightly different shade. With releases on the scene’s influential labels such as PIV, MicroHertz, Heavy House Society, Talman, and Deeperfect, he has already gained support from the likes of Marco Carola, Enzo Siragusa, Archie Hamilton, Chris Stussy, Sidney Charles, and Prunk, it’s clear he has a very bright future ahead of him.
For his latest release he unleashes his ‘Cut It Back EP’ where he demonstrates his versatility in the studio creating something that is different from what he has previously released. The lead and title track showcases this as he effortlessly blends his trademark minimal beats with touches garage. It’s powerful, packs a punch and is a track that will have dancers instantly locked into the groove of the weighty driving bassline.
On the flip side is ‘Rude Boi’ where Snowden delivers a sumptuous bassline groover where he infuses touches of urban flavour delivering a track that provides plenty of energy and bounce, and will have people wanting to get on down. This is a great release for Seven Dials as both the label and the artist look to release music that are well thought out blends of sounds with the idea of making it very hard to pigeon hole.
