Premiere: Josh Butler – Take Control [ORIGINS RCRDS]

Josh Butler returns to his own imprint, Origins RCRDS, with a two tracker of the highest quality house music, titled Infinite EP.

Josh Butler is well known in the scene for his powerful and classy house productions. He’s amassed over 85 million streams across all platforms through his releases on Defected, Crosstown Rebels, Solid Grooves, Snatch! and many more, and can boast remixes for the likes of Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Joris Voorn and even Niles Rodgers from Chic. He returns to his own imprint Origins and just in time for the end of the year and he certainly doesn’t disappoint.

The lead track from the EP is titled ‘Take Control’, which is as you would expect from Josh Butler, exquisitely produced, pumping with touches of deep and plenty of soul, which stems from the vocal. This is a track that is perfect for enjoying in both clubs and at home. It’s uplifting and a joy to listen to and for sure will be popular over the coming months.

Then on the flipside we have the title track ‘Infinite’ which is a certified banger as Butler ups the ante by adding darker elements to his trademark beats and bass over a 6-minute journey. This is one for the club and big rooms in particular, with a stripped pristine production allowing the sounds to come through to the maximum and giving this EP the perfect two tracks to keep clubbers and listeners enthralled and have their feet firmly on the dance floor wanting more.
