Premiere: Sarp Ozaydin – Tears Of The Vale (Havantepe Remix) [Petra Digital]

Continuing to be a force to be reckoned with this summer is the prolific Petra Recordings label, six slabs of heat marking number 36 on the label – “Cosmic Breeze”. At the controls they have Istanbul based producer, Sarp Ozaydin, with three originals followed by three stellar remixes from dub techno maestro Havantepe, rising star Ozeil, and O’ner returns off the back of his recent “Another Behavior” EP on the label.

EP opener “Tears Of The Vale” – is a shimmering sunset trip, the uplifting synths creating a distinctive atmosphere as the deep house drums cruise you deep the night. Title track “Cosmic Breeze” is an exploration of pure bliss, the elastic bass line creates ainton irresistible groove in combination with the tight drum work from Ozaydin. “Organised Chaos” is a bubbling and hazy journey, light on its feet, and cool to the touch.

Offering up his vast dub experience in his “Tears Of The Vale” remix is, Havantepe, a sleek and transcending outtake of the original. O’ner also serves up his interpretation of the title track, maintaining the similar energy of the original in terms of depth, combined with his signature warm bass. Ozeil drops “Organised Chaos” on its head bringing pacey garage house drums to his version, definitely one for the club room!
