Premiere: Maqossa – 99 Cents [Boogeyman]

Maqossa is next up with some heavyweight beats on the brilliant Boogeyman label. The Dutch producer has a seductive sound that is perfect for mind, body and soul. He has played everywhere from Burning Man to BPM Festival and heads up his own label and events arm, Qlub. He is in top form with this newest offering.

Peaches kicks off with a perfectly percussive house groover – the toms flutter as the hi hats keep time and drums lock you in.

99 Cents comes in with chunky house kicks and some old school neon melodies that bring the vibes. The vocals actually are his own he recorded, and it is stylish and irresistible body music while Nasa Talks gets more deep. The drums are warm and rubbery and the pads silky as they bring colour to the irresistible grooves.

This is another effective but charming EP from Maqossa.
