Premiere: Django – Turn My Shit Up [Housenation Amsterdam]

Dutch imprint Housenation extend their catalogue this Autumn with the second outing on the label. Following suit of 001, the second serving will be a VA including local heroes and flourishing family talents Django, Izak Jules, Luuk Ploeg and the Da Graca Brothers. “Amsterdam Groove” comes in hot as the versatile four tracker addresses explosive dance floor action from start to finish, touching on various strains of the house spectrum.

First up is Django, firing up the release with “Turn My Shit Up”. The track is constructed upon glitchy drum patterns and a killer elastic groove as the track continues to evolve, steering your set into fifth gear. Izak Jules sets the tone with “Comeback”, crisp drums breathing life into the wobbling body of the track. Ready to ignite the flight of the after party is Luuk Ploeg’s “That Sh*t”, an irresistible winding bass line cruises throughout, as trippy vocal stabs flash in and out. Closing the EP with pure class and emotion are Da Graca Brothers, a touch of dance floor romance for the small hours of the night with their deep encounter “Uups”.
