Premiere: Evelyn King – Shame (Lexus Edit) [Housenation]

Dutch imprint Housenation look to launch their positive energy crammed label this summer with a variety of digital releases on the horizon. The feel good connoisseurs have grouped together for a debut showcase of their sound, a classy VA shared between the founders, Guessbeats, Daniel Sanchez & Shuski and Lexus. House music at its finest from a label looking to make their mark.

Bringing the energy is ‘ZigZag’ by Guessbeats, a dance floor grenade ready to ignite the flight. Driving drums lead the way on this explosive trip for the tastemakers. Taking a more stripped back approach is ‘Oops’, but never to be underestimated. Daniel Sanchez & Shuski create a bubbling body of work, hypnotic as it moves with its rippling tones. Quirky samples flash in and out creating a sense of curiosity.

Cruising on a chugging and hazy vibe is ‘Dream Teen’ from the label founders, lifting vocals working their magic throughout. Last of all is an edit of the famous ‘Shame’ by Evelyn King that packs a serious punch, created by Lexus. The floaty vocal samples, and percussion breathe life into the elasticated groove. Riding on a plucky bass line for the peak hours of the night. This last track will be available via Bandcamp only as a bonus track of the release.
