Premiere: Jansons – Messan [PIV Records]

Long time UK talent Jansons steps up to the hotter then hot PIV label with a superb new EP that comes with a remix by Jaden Thompson.

Jansons writes music with an uplifting vibe and timeless drums. He’s had several underground hits on labels like Knee Deep In Sound, Hot Creations and 8Bit and each one shows his knack for real top level studio craft. His rare skills on his drums and synths can be seen in the viral video uploads and now he brings the class once more to this fresh new EP.

Opener Nite Life layers up super silky drums and synths into a catchy house groove. Textured bass brings weight and drive and wordless vocalisation loops are the hook that never lets up. It’s a track that has been highly in demand since it was first heard on the dance floor, and the number of ID requests since has been like never before.

It’s an irresistible track that’s then followed by Messan. This one is powered by smooth kicks and airy hi hats while an old school melody phrase brings hints of the 90s to another super stylish and forward thinking house cut. Get It On is the final original with smart synth smears bringing cosmic energy next to a smart vocal sample and more warm, inviting drum loops.

New school star and fabric resident Jaden Thompson then steps up to remix Nite Life. He flips it into a late night house sound with neon pads swirling round as the wordless vocals pan about the mix to trippy effect.

This is another standout EP of timeless grooves from Jansons.
