Premiere: Kyle Starkey – Control Freak [Seven Dials Records]

Seb Zito’s influential Seven Dials Records imprint unveils the second edition of the ‘Bassline Groovers’ series with 4 strong bass driven dance floor weapons from Anthiago, Kyle Starkey, Taylor Crane and Andre Zimmer.

After a strong showing for the Bassline Groovers release, Seb Zito has chosen another four tracks to be included on the second edition that have been focal tracks of his recent sets. The first track is from Anthiago f/k/a Antss. With a slew of releases on heavyweight labels like Hottrax, Solid Grooves, elrow and Dark Side of the Sun, it is clear he is supported by many of te biggest artists in the scene. His track ‘Simply Dangerous’ is just that. With Anthiago’s trademark powerful bass driven groove, tight minimalist beats and ever evolving synth patterns, this is a ‘Simply Dangerous’ dance floor weapon.

Next up is Kyle Starkey who featured on the first Bassline Groovers Edition. His track ‘Control Freak’ is a slamming track with plenty of punch in the beats driving the energy from the get-go. Add in a weighty bassline, looped up vocal cuts and slick arrangement this one is perfect for dancers and listeners alike. Next up is Taylor Crane and his track ‘TC10’ a track that Zito has been playing none stop since last 2022. This has a low slung weighty sub bass and skipping beats all combining with some tasty vocal cuts and FXs to give it some individuality. This is great for getting things going in a club environment

Last but by no means least is Andre Zimmer and ‘No Stoppin’’ where he delivers an energetic and strong track that’s perfect for peak time. With vocal cuts opening being opened up via filtering and aa electrifying bass sound this one wlil having the dance floor full and dancers showing no signed of stopping for a while.
