Premiere: Andrew Azara – Circus Groove [MicroHertz]
We’re back again with Irelands Andrew Azara who drops another dope release from Archie Hamilton’s MicroHertz imprint with his ‘Circus Groove EP’
Andrew emerged onto the scene in late 2019 with a string of forward-thinking cuts on labels like Heavy House Society, Do Not Sleep, Origins, Rendr, Avotre, and Surge records, whilst dropping his debut release with Hamilton’s imprint last year with his ‘Pressure EP’. This in turn has had Andrew playing at biggest clubs and festivals like District 8, Life Festival & Elrow, with him recently completing a tour of South America.
We begin with his new EP with the title track ‘Circus Groove’. A percussion laced groover with nasty drums and a baseline to match. Tastefully decorated with purposeful drops, twister filters and swaying pads, this one is for the later hours.
Next up we have ‘Concrete Dreams’ which is another quality track that demands your attention with its skippy, jacking beats before coming together with a warm swaying baseline. A sweet groove that’s well suited for the sweaty summer nights.
To finish off, Azara brings you ‘Partrax’ which rounds off this excellent EP by following in the footsteps of ‘Concrete Dreams’, with its warm sound backed by his trademark solid beats and sweeping pads completing a very solid 3 track EP
