Premiere: Hart & Neenan – Lights Off [MicroHertz]

MicroHertz welcomes UK duo Hart & Neenan for their debut release ‘Organic Growth’ on Archie Hamilton’s increasingly popular newly formed imprint.

Hart & Neenan are purveyors of deep minimal grooves laden with heavyweight driving bass-lines. The duo begun their career back in 2018, and during those last 4 years, the duo have gone on to release on prestigious labels like: Elrow, META, Hedzup, Do Not Sleep, Moan and they have even launched their own imprint Metafloor.

For their release on MicroHertz they drop a cool fresh sounding 2 tracker that’s perfect for the summer. The title track ‘Organic Growth’ is an elegant jazz infused deep house sound combining with funky, swinging and jackin´ beats. A soulful vocoded stab injects the groovy bassline on the drop and cool little vocal snippets dance along with an easy going marimba and lush chords. This tune is perfect for those long summer days out doors sipping on your favourite drink and savouring an uplifting vibe.

‘Lights Off’ carries the flow of the EP on, utilising a chunky bassline and lazy jazzy keys. Summery Piano chords and a funky ghetto vocal cut keeps the vibe up while the rough, old school NYC style drums programming keep the shoes firmly on the dance floor.
