Opul Up Next On Archipel Musique With Daji EP

Chengdu based Opul fires up the next heat on the long-established Archipel Musique. After mastering his trade in the last decade in Montreal, Opul delivers a classy encounter here with four dynamic cuts, oozing with innovative and minimalistic energy. The “Daji” EP lands 31st May on the label’s Bandcamp.

Each track is numbered as opposed to titled, allowing the music to speak loud and proud without any preconceptions. “Daji 1” is a hypnotic love affair, pensive drums sway gently in the hazy early morning hours. “Daji 2” is layered with dreamy synths and pads which converse blissfully with the clean cut and punchy body of the track. “Daji 3” has a classic, minimal feel to it, dusty drums and mysterious textures floating effortlessly by, burrowing itself deep within your thought process. Last but not least is “Daji 4” a quirky and eccentric trip spanning across almost 7 minutes, filled with tribal tinges, and beautiful percussive movements.

Pheek once more used his broad platform to showcase a blossoming talent in the realms of minimal and electronic music.
