Premiere: Melanie Ribbe, Jonatas C – The Afters [Do Not Sleep]

Do Not Sleep bring in Brazilian duo, Melanie Ribbe and Jonatas C, for their first release of the year, with the duo’s ‘Don’t Stop EP’.

Since her first release back in 2018, Melanie Ribbe has release on prestigious labels such as Moon Harbour, Roush, Saved and her own label Agape Muzik, whilst Jonatas has been release music since 2014 across a wide spectrum of labels which include Under No Illusion, Clarisse Records and Innocent Music. Between them their music has been supported by the likes of Huxley, George Privatti, Miane, Maxinne and more.

For their debut release on Do Not Sleep, they’ve produced a club ready 2 tracker which is perfect for the incoming summer Ibiza season. Track 1 ‘Don’t Stop’ is a pure energetic and inspiriting track which all stems from its infectious bouncing bassline and kick. Add to that the vocal cuts and transitional effects and sounds this is a great club ready track that’s set to bounce many a dance floor this spring and summer.

On the flip side is ‘The Afters’, which is a darker deeper lower slung bassline groover, with well worked minimalist percussion creating the incessant groove. The track uses great vocal tracks to give it that after hours feel and this is definitely one for late nights and early mornings and set to be an essential cut this year.
