Premiere: Perky Wires – Grace [likeminded]

Barcelona-based duo Perky Wires continues on their path of deep tech domination with their latest EP, Grace — an incredible showing on the freshly minted label, likeminded.

A two-tracker built specifically for devilish fun on the dance floor, the record’s title track “Grace” sets the mood with a talkative bassline that ushers a mixed bag of elastic chords and synths into a swinging arrangement of pure revelry. On the b-side, “Flurry” hits us with a tenacious snare and percussive drive that gives way to whimsical hooks and a handful of unrelentingly fly breakdowns.

Making their debut at the tail end of 2020 with their Juzzy Belle EP on AVOTRE, Perky Wires’ distinct get-up-and-go minimal house and deep tech sound has caught the attention of top DJs around the globe. In the six short months after first hitting the airwaves, the duo has released three additional EPs on TBX Records, Moan, and Deeperfect Records, sporting tracks that have consistently climbed into top positions in Beatport’s Top 100 Minimal / Deep Tech chart.
